Q. I have been itching for about five days now; mostly on my scalp and arms. There are extremely small "bumps", but I haven't been bitten by anything..just ferocious itching. I have taken benadryl and tylenol for headaches that are accompanying the rash, but no relief. What on earth could it be?

A. The combinaton of a rash with severe itching certainly sounds like an allergic reaction to something, either something that came in contact with the areas of skin involved, or something you have ingested. Try to think of any new soaps or lotions you may have used recently, any new foods or medication, that could provide a clue. Benadryl is helpful for most minor reactions; if this is not providing much relief, see your doctor promptly for further evaluation and treatment!
